Scythlike 5"-long claw on each hind foot.

Tail stiffened with bony rods to act as counterweight for balance.

Deinonychus was a dinosaur that was designed for speed and agility. It is theorized that Deinonychus was sometimes a solitary hunter but also hunted occasionally in packs.
