The discovery of thousands of fossils of young and adult
Maiasaura, combined with fossils of eggs, confirmed to Paleontologists
that this dinosaur nested in colonies. The parents tended to and
cared for their young, bringing food to the nests as modern
birds do today. The Maiasaura was a herbivore.
